A tasty Rainbow in a pan
A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the tasty trout of near by Lake Ontario.
Recipe for Pan Fried Trout
Start warming up the frying pan on medium heat.
Add a couple of table spoons of vegetable oil
Chop up a small onion, add to oil warming in frying pan.
Sprinkle in a dash garlic flakes, a dash of salt and a dash of black pepper
Add a 2- 3 pound rainbow trout fillet
Let it sizzle in the pan for about 10 minutes then flip over with a spatula and fry for another 10 minutes
Take out of fry pan when it flakes easily with a fork and has turned to a creamy white colour.
Place on a plate with several chopped up freah basil leaves add a suirt of lemon juice.
Also, have a tartar sauce close by to add if desired.
A Tasty summer meal
I'd like to thank Captain Pete and First Mate Rick of the Orange Peel boat
from Scarborough Bluffers Marina for helping me catch these great Lake Ontario trout!
