Wood Carving Giant Walleye (Yellow Pickerel)

Drawing Plan of Giant Walleye

Thebody is almosty completely carved from basswood  and the fins are cut and shaped from pine.
A 22 cm  manufactured Eye is added

This is a life like carving icluding raised gill cover with carved gills.

Mouth detail with added teeth and top quality eye .
Comparing two carings
;top; 31 inch, length, 19 inch girth weighing approximately 14 pounds  with closed mouth
bottom: 34 inch length,  20 inch girth weighing about 16 and ahalf pounds.

Award wnning  fish carvng titled Walleye Chase includes a yellow perch with a curved red paine plank background.
The carving is complete . Next step is paintng in a realistic way.

Monster Chiller "Ghost Walk" and Beer at Black Creek Pioneer Village

Looking for scary ghosts at the Black Creek Pioneer Village!

Copper lined kettle is used to start the beer fermenting .

The brewing mixture is filtered and poured into the barrel.



The Brewery Tour guide "Blyth" was very animated in explaining the beer making process.

Sampling of the beer made right at Black Creek Pioneer Village. Inluding Lager, stout and India Pale Ale.

Standing at the corner of McCaul and Dundas streets This is where I met my wife in 1996  on September 9 th. The coffee shop in the background was called "Second Cup" back in those days, now it's called "Orange Alert Cafe".

Magic in WOOD, show in Pickering, Ontario 2015

The show called MAGIC IN WOOD is presented by the Ontario Wood Carving Association  at the recreation Complex in Pickering Ontario. It was 2 degree celcius outside with fall colours vibrant in the mid - October trees.  INSIDE THE SHOW IT WAS WHITE HOT WITH CREATIVITY
