The Gerke's Jerkies
This is cool looking design I created for Gregg Gerke's Fishing Lure Company.The lure on the right is a glide bait design,  called the E Zee ZZ. I think it's made from cedar wood. The lure on the left is a  balsa wood surface disturbing design, similar to a "walk-the -dog"design top water. They were originally designed by Bill Crane in West Virginia. They both have the black Perch pattern paint. The E ZeeZZ is in the mouth of the muskie in the artwork.
 

This is a new promotion for the Rattling Sound Cobb's Lure.

The Fishes of Toronto book now printed

This is my"Northern Pike attacking Yellow Perch" acrylic painting featured on the back of the Fishes of Toronto book.

I have over twenty paintings included in the book.

Colour Me Blue, 2nd Place Winner

This is my shining design moment. I won Second Place in the Toronto Star Colour Me Blue contest!

I've put my original sketchbook painting with the March 13, 2012 published version.

Wood Carving an inspiring muskie

Painting and finishing the giant muskie head. During April 2012 this carving will be on Exhibit in Kitchener at the City Hall Southern Ontario Science and Nature Art Group.

This carving is created from layers of three quarter inch pine planks. Measures about 16 inches from the tip of the bottom jaw to the back edge of the gill cover.

JANUARY ARTSHOW IN Toronto's West End

Charles Weiss will be participating in a Group art show at the Wesburn Manor Art Gallery.
Charles has 12 ACRYLIC, WATERCOLOUR paintings AND WOOD CARVINGS ON EXHIBITION!
The gallery is located in a city of Toronto Elderly Care facility located at the corner of Burnhamthorpe and West Mall.
The opening for the exhibition is Wednesday January 18, 2012 6 -8 PM IN THE EVENING.

Drawings from a sketching trip at the Royal Ontario Museum

These are a selection of drawings I created while visiting at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. I was visiting with the Society of Science and Nature Illustrators of Ontario.It was a very informative and creative gathering.
